Friday, the moving truck hauled all of our stuff over the hill from the Front Range and deposited the contents of our storage unit into our house in Fruita. We spent most of the weekend unpacking the essentials, so we could function in the house while we are here. Now, only 6 days later, we are preparing to depart for Flagstaff and Overland Expo. I think this will be our 7th OvEx and the third venue. The weather is forecast to be typical, cool and very windy. For a long time, we'd make the mistake of thinking "Arizona in the Spring! Yay!" and pack for warm weather. And freeze to death as it has very rarely been warm for Expo.
Later today I'll back Gus out of his cozy spot next to the house and fill the water tank and fuel tanks and otherwise prep for the trip south. We look forward to visiting with old friends and making new friends.
We'll eventually return to Fruita for a short while while we plan our next longer trip.
The "doers" are at it again. You both have the spirit of true explorers and the heart of a true friend.
